She was about to play the bagpipes, but I could tell her shirt was homemade or designed or something, which she confirmed. She said she mostly shops at Goodwill or Urban Renewal, where she got a real find recently:
It's going to sound hideous. A sweater-type thing, that's stripy, with a flowery design.
She agreed that it was kind of weird to see high-end boutiques selling stuff with the frayed, distressed look that (presumably) originated at Goodwill.
I feel like we've ridiculed that look, but people still do it.
